Privacy policy

Your information and your choices.

Last updated November 1, 2026

TenStops is a property of NicheSmith.co. This policy describes information handled through TenStops and the choices available to visitors.

Advertising is not active in this edition. Areas marked as preview placements are placeholders. TenStops does not send advertising requests from these placeholders.

What this edition collects

You can read guides without an account. TenStops has no account database, newsletter signup, donation checkout, embedded map or third-party analytics added to this edition.

The city search filters the directory in your browser. Destination photographs are local site assets, so displaying them does not contact an outside image provider.

Saved places and privacy preferences

Your saved places and your TenStops advertising opt-out are stored in this browser when browser storage is available. The shortlist is not sent to a TenStops database or synchronized to another device.

Saved places remain until you remove them or clear the relevant browser data. The advertising opt-out remains until you reset it or remove its stored preference. If storage is blocked, a preference can apply only to the current page visit.

See Cookies & browser storage for details. Clearing a shortlist does not change your advertising choices.

Website delivery and security

When you visit a hosted version of TenStops, the hosting service receives connection and request information to deliver pages and protect the service. This can include an IP address, requested URL, browser or device details, request time and security events.

Cloudflare is the selected hosting and delivery provider for the public site. Its handling of end-user network data is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy ↗; the host’s records are separate from your browser-local shortlist.

Suggestion drafts

The suggestion form in this preview can prepare a draft but does not transmit it to TenStops or save it to a server. Preparing or copying a draft is not submitting it. Copying puts the draft on your device’s clipboard, where you can paste it elsewhere.

Cloudflare Turnstile is not loaded in this edition. Ordinary website delivery requests remain separate from the unsubmitted draft.

Messages to the publisher

If you contact the publisher through a published channel, the publisher receives the contact information and message you provide. This information is used to address the request, review corrections or rights concerns, and maintain relevant records.

This prelaunch edition does not yet have a published contact address for publisher privacy requests. The Contact page explains the current status. Browser privacy controls remain available; the suggestions form is not a channel for privacy requests.

Google advertising and partners

If Google advertising is enabled in a future edition, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to TenStops or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits, subject to applicable choices and consent.

Advertising providers may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers. Information such as the page visited and device or connection details can be used for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and permitted personalization.

The consent controls for live advertising must identify the configured providers and available choices. Additional advertising networks will be disclosed before they are enabled.

Control advertising and storage

Use Privacy choices to block TenStops advertising requests in this browser. A Global Privacy Control signal also blocks these requests. Resetting the local opt-out does not grant consent or override that browser signal.

This control does not erase information already sent to an advertising provider or change its settings on other sites. Use Google’s controls for Google ad personalization and any applicable consent message to review or withdraw provider consent.

Non-personalized advertising can still use cookies or identifiers for purposes such as limiting repetition and reporting. Turning off personalization does not mean all data processing stops.

Outside links

Operator, source, credit and map links lead to other services with their own privacy policies. An external service receives ordinary browser request data when you open its link; a map link also includes the place being searched.

Retention and international processing

Browser-local information follows the removal controls described above. Publisher correspondence and service-provider records have separate purposes and retention arrangements; clearing browser storage does not delete those records.

Hosting and advertising providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards. Their linked notices explain their practices.

Your rights

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising uses. These rights can have conditions and exceptions.

You may also have the right to complain to the relevant privacy regulator. Browser-local controls can be used immediately; requests involving publisher-held information need the publisher contact channel.

Children

TenStops is a general travel reference, not a service directed to children. It does not offer child accounts or invite children to submit personal information.

Policy changes

We will update this notice when information handling changes. New analytics, advertising partners, accounts or payment features require corresponding disclosures and choices before they are introduced.
