Cookies & browser storage
What is stored in your browser.
Last updated November 1, 2026
Cookies and local storage are different ways a website or service can keep information in your browser. TenStops uses browser-local storage for optional saved places and advertising preferences.
Advertising is not active in this edition. Areas marked as preview placements are placeholders. TenStops does not send advertising requests from these placeholders.
Saved places
Choosing Save keeps the attraction’s name, city and guide link in your browser. This is how the shortlist stays available when you return on the same browser and domain.
Remove individual items or select Clear list to delete the shortlist. It can also be removed by clearing site data in your browser. A copy you print or save elsewhere is separate.
Advertising preference
When you block advertising through Privacy choices, TenStops stores that choice locally when storage is available. It is used to stop TenStops’ advertising requests on later page visits in the same browser.
Resetting that preference removes the local block but does not grant advertising consent. With storage blocked, the setting cannot be remembered beyond the current page visit.
Hosting and security
A hosting or security service may use essential cookies or similar technologies to deliver and protect the hosted website. These are separate from the saved list and advertising preference.
Suggestion form security
Online suggestions are not enabled in this edition, and Cloudflare Turnstile is not loaded. The suggestion form can only prepare and copy an unsubmitted draft.
Google advertising
If Google advertising is enabled in a future edition, Google and participating partners may use cookies and identifiers for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Personalization depends on the applicable settings and consent.
Non-personalized ads are not necessarily cookie-free. See Privacy, Google’s explanation of AdSense cookies ↗ and the live consent message’s provider details when advertising is available.
Browser controls
Your browser can restrict cookies or remove stored site data. Doing so may remove saved places and privacy preferences; it does not automatically change Google Account settings or erase data already held by another service.
A Global Privacy Control signal blocks TenStops advertising requests without relying on a stored TenStops preference. You can continue reading the guides with advertising blocked.
